Wednesdays — At Toastmasters weekly meetings you will learn how to make effective presentations, run a business meeting and how to clearly and concisely present your ideas. Attend a meeting for free! Skyway Toastmasters meets Wednesdays from

April 16 — McMaster University in partnership with the Golden Horseshoe Biosciences Network presents Innovation Café — a discussion forum in an informal setting that gives people an opportunity to discover, discuss and debate a variety of topics related to innovation. Join three leading social innovators in a discussion on addressing true social change through ‘social innovation’: Mark Chamberlain, President, Trivaris; Allyson Hewitt, Director, Social Entrepreneurship, MaRS, Discovery District; and Ilse Treurnicht, CEO, MaRS, Discovery Direct. April 17 — The Canadian Club of Halton Peel presents Harry Walker, owner of Walker’s Chocolates (Burlington, Oakville & Hamilton). May 3 — The Masai Centre and the AIDS Committee of Guelph & Wellington County (ACG) will host their fifteenth Red Ribbon Gala at the Italian Canadian Club, a joint fundraising event that will raise funds for the Centre, the ACG and the Tsepong clinic in Lesotho. Over 50 volunteers are geared up to make this the best event of the spring season. Sponsors include our major event benefactor, Harper Wealth Management Group, RBC Dominion Securities, along with Bildwell Financial, TD Canada Trust, N. C.
