May 17 — Company of Women is hosting an all-day conference which is aimed at women business owners and those thinking of starting a business. To be held at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre in Oakville, the conference will run from 9.00 am – 4.00 pm. “It will be a day to inspire and inform the women,” says Anne Day, Founder of Company of Women “We have an exciting line up of speakers and experts who will be sharing their knowledge and expertise throughout the day.” First on is Carole Bertuzzi Luciani, often known as the “Moodivator” who will give her entertaining perspective on life as an entrepreneur. She will be followed by a panel of three women who have won the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award — Shery Leeder of Bravado Designs, Lola Rasminsky of the Avenue Road Arts School and Sherri Stevens of the Stevens Resource Group. They will be sharing the lessons they learned while growing their successful business enterprises. Over lunch, participants will hear from Helen Walter of Capstone Communications. From branding your business, to branding yourself Liz Radzick will lead the audience through an interactive process to help participants better tell their story in a concise and memorable way. Each participant will have the opportunity to touch base with different experts on Marketing, PR, Business start-up, Business Growth, HR, Accounting, Website, Law, Succession Planning and Banking.
